BUT I want to!!
Was at the Indoor Stadium for Superstar, it was good overall although I'm not on any side, I was glad that Weilian won, because I simply don't like Kelly!! I can't stand it!! SHe sounds and behaves SOOO much like Fann Wong!!! Her facial expression, her laughter, her smile, her actions, the way she talks.... Xie Xie!! Wo Hui Jia You De!! I can imitate her really haha even 8 days and I-weekly reporters also agree with me!! Oh yah talking about I-weekly, you've gotta check out Junyang and Candyce pix!!! So close! but i got inside news that they are not an item YET! hahaha
The other 22 contestants performed rather well I feel for all their categories, quite entertaining lah although of cos the singing was pre-recorded except for those non-all contestant performances... You get what I mean not? haha
Anyway I think the Jue Due judges were rather extra... haha when they appeared on the stage with their catwalk, Anthony Png like trying to act seh, behaving like a SUPERmodel lol. He is extra la, My way my way, no way no way, get your sandwich at Subway.... as infamous as his Sun Gueh saying... And erhem... Aunty Yip's cleavage is like sooo.... eye catching?? especially with the shadow cast on the cleavage when she holds her mic, it makes the cleavage looks like a rift valley haha. Some guys behind me were like "Wah Lau, isit use marker draw one??!!" Hahaha we kept laughing at the joke. And then when Xinhui and Junyang sang the duet, Wu Ding, she lean on him and they were like...."I think Xinhui likes Junyang secretly..." haha.
Well for the contest, I wasn't very interested or excited since I am mutual... mutually dun like haha. Wei lian sang well for the 1st 2 songs, i can feel his emotions, i think his singing is better when heard live then over the TV, but I guess because the echo is very loud in an enclosed area, everyone sounds just as good. Kelly sang well for her last 2 songs, the last one definitely made an impact. It was inappropriate to get them to sing with JJ, cos it's rather hard to do a guy guy duet compared to a girl guy duet, espcially since JJ and Weilian didn't sing different parts for the whole song, only on certain parts, not like Power Station. And their voices are similar in certain area so Weilian's voice tends to be overkapped by JJ's. It's of cos more distinct in a gal guy duet, you can separate the voices easily. Then 2 guy and 1 gal duet... strange rite? 2 guysfighting for one part... while the gal gets to sing her solo part.... Lidat fair lah.... The MOST biased thing was the song written for them to expose their flaws. It WAS meant to expose their weakness dunno why somehow Li Wei Song wrote the song to show Kelly's strength. You think it's fair? when Weilian gets to sing a song that show his weaknesses while Kelly sings a song that only strengthen her plus points.... Yes ple might say the song is very fast very hard to catch the beats so it's actually against Kelly. But if you noticed, she is weak on beats for slow songs, not fast numbers. In fact, slow songs can be harder to grasp, the tempo, the beats, the emotions. Then the judges still blame Weilian for singing the song penned for him in a very old fashion way. Comeon la go listen to song again! It's written in such an old fashion way, the tune espacially, how can it be sang in a modern way? R&B ah?? Then change the arrangement of the song lah! Oh I have to emphasize again, I don't support any of them, so I'm not biased towards or against any, but it's a fact that THEY are biased!
Ok then of cos came the real SUPERSTAR!! In fact the biggest part of me being their is for JJ! He's damn good can!!! He's like holding his own concert!! His beat box is super power!!! slow to fast his sense of rythym is damn good lah. And he is cute haha and sweet of cos.... Did you all hear him say "JY this is for you" when he started doing the beat box, before his rap. Just so plain sweet!!! In case you dunno, JY is Junyang. And JY is JJ's best friend. He is the Wayne that JY thanked when he failed at the last hurdle of Superstar. Yes, Wayne is actually JJ's christian name... Haha, so now you the difference between A Superstar and A superstar-to-be..... Let's hope JY makes it as big as JJ. But I still feel JY has the same old problem, he tends to imitate the singer when he sings the song. And when he's singing a song of his own. like today, he sounds like JJ. His voice albeit stable is not distinct enough.... It thought it was kinda ironic when JY and Xinhui performed their numbers better than the 2 champions....
The winner gets to sign a contract with play music... which is a local recrod label, handles local singers and foreign singers in Sinagpore and only Singapore. The 1st runner up gets to sign a recording contract with an International record label, Universal Music, which handles and market artistes from everywhere.... You call that fair lah.....
Derrick has sooo many fans!!! i think 40% of the stadium is shared by his and Junyang's.... Everytime both of them make an appearance on stage or on the tv screen, you can hear shrill screams!! Derrick has more though. I heard whenever the contestants wanna go supper they'll be stocked by fans and 70% of these fans are Derrick's so in the end they always have to change to another supper location lol. Just makes me wonder, how could Derrick and JY lose on voting...
Anyway JJ is the best ahahaha. And I tot the guys a cappella sounded good.... Oh how i miss TENSION!!! lol
