TAOISM

Fresh from David Tao's Love Can Concert.

Really superb. He never fails to impress me and leave an impact. I mean his music is still as good, his vocal is still as powerful, and he puts in so much time and effort in preparing the sound and stage.... Look, how many singers actually rearrange their music for the concert? Most singers perform at their concerts in an identical way they did their album, then what is the purpose of attending the concert when you'll be better off listening to the CD? Firstly, it saves you a hundred near two hundred bucks, secondly it spares you from the off ket notes that he/she might hit (or isit keys that he/she fail to hit?). Oh and he specially arranged a medly of english songs that he loved, (and I loved too) for the Singapore audience. Many people at the concert loved them haha. He claimed that the songs were of his era and only people of 30 yrs and above might be more familiar. I protest! Cos I know them pretty welll yah haha. He came off stage twice and I could see people practically grabbing his biceps and touching him all over! He himself said he was being touched and claimed it was scary haha.... This time round, the stage was so much more fanciful oh and how can I forget his costumes. Just enough to reveal his well toned body... Haha. See I like guys with good build but are lean (not skinny!!). Good build meaning he works out, has abs, and chest muscle, it doesn't just mean big size nor meaty! And I don't like guys who are too over built.... or stocky....Build must come with height. :-)

Oh back to Dave. He really cannot remember his lyrics for nuts! Even with the help of like what, 4 plasma TV on the stage floor?? But his reaction when he totally messed up a part of a song was damn cute haha. It's such a pleasure and enjoyment to see him sing.... We all know how powerful his vocal is. But it just melts me to see him singing with his eyes closed, so engrossed in his song. Ok I love guys who are musically inclined, especially if they sing well. I mean he's simply talented. Yes yes I love talented guys haha. Compared to other artistes who play so much on stage effects and costumes and visual effects, I think I'm already very contented with David singing right in front of me. Yes, I did mention that things are alot more fanciful compared to Soul Power Live, but still his vocal and music are the most important and they make up the basis for everything. Oh yah, Dave was literally standing right in front of me, cos I was at the front few rows and at the first seat from the middle of the aisle, so he was very near me haha I could see his features on stage clearly, without having to look at the big TV screen at all haha. Tao papa and Tao mama were also very near me, how I wish I could just walk between them and make my way to the backstage after the concert haha. Well, I realised I sang from the very first song to the last haha. I love singing.... And I would be so glad to just be a part of the band, the backup vocals. In case you think I'm fascinating about Dave, I have to admit to certain degree, I am. haha but I love him for his music more than anything else. I mean he is not like Lee Hom, the more than average looking guy.... Dave is just normal looking, well even though he started off looking err.... abit off haha. But everything else about him makes him look good, if you get what I mean.... He's just this seriously charismatic man, with this maturity, attitude and ability that sweeps me off my feet... There's just... something about him. So if I can find a talented guy, with good build(please follow my guidlines strictly) and who can sing well, then no need to think, I'll grab him! haha oops let's not forget the average looking critera haha. Cannot be way off lah, otherwise it won't help regardless of how talented and well-built he is.... Hey I'm just being honest ok....

On a different note, I was damn pissed by this stupid idiot who came to tell us and some other audience to sit down cos they can't see. Later I realised they=he and his gf. I was like WTH!!! I wanted to tell him off but before I could someone replied OK. TMD, I came to enjoy myself at a concert, if you like to sit down so much, sit at home and watch TV lah!! And then why can't you stand if you can't see, why must we accomodate you by sitting??!! I found out later that they also stand throughout some songs but it just so happened that they were sitting down when we chose to stand for a certain song. They even rushed to the front when Dave came off stage. If you are so enthu then shouldn't you stand as well!! First time I see audience asking other audience to sit down. I'm already bloody pissed with the fat usher who keeps pacing around or standing still within my sight. Please think of your bloody body mass when you wanna stand somewhere ok! Although he didn't block my view, having him within my sight was such a sore! Anyway these are only small episodes of unhappiness, nothing beats Dave haha.

Ok I'm going mad. But I really find him very charming leh.... He's the man! Can find me someone close? Close can liao, after all there can only be one David Tao haha. Actually to be serious I think I love his music more.... I admire and respect his music, there's a meaning and story behind every song and every song is made and sang differently, I could feel the different emotions... Ok i'm going too much into music AGAIN! haha I love music, but sadly I'm not very musically inclined, at least not with instruments yah.... nvm nvm find a musically inclined bf can liao hahahaha

In any case, I just wish to tell people who had wanted to go but missed or gave up this concert for one reason or another, it's such a shame... What a pity, I wished you guys enjoyed like I did.... Anyway one song which he sang at his concert, made me felt very strongly for it. I like this song alot all the while, it can't fit me more man.... depicts what I'm going through. Called twenty-two (er shi er) Will post the lyrics up :)
