Wasn't supposed to blog but I decided to anyway. Damn! I've been actively reading blogs for the past few days, all thx to sources by L@@k
Finally handed in my project. In the end I was the one doing the compiling, printing, binding and submission. Maybe I've got myself to blame. Firstly, I can't just leave things undone! After all it's my project! I can't just heck care like anyone else. And secondly, I just don't trust that they'll do a good job, and bother to follow the 100 instructions that the lecturer had put up. I just don't trust anybody except for myself I guess.

I can't believe there are actually some dumb ass out there who can't pronounce my name. Yes my name is Melissa if u have not realised... It's printed on my birth cert and ID card; I can't change it. But otherwise all other cards that I have bear the name Melis. I prefer to be called Melis. Some friends who know me only by this name thought it was some fanciful name that I came up with....No. It was actually invented by a certain secondary school classmate. She thought Melissa was too lengthy cos it has three syllabus. Well not that Melis is any shorter... Just one syllabus short. Just like the abbreviating Andrew to Andy... Makes no sense at all! But I liked Melis, it's kinda unique, though there are still a half dozen people out there with this name. But a dozen probably goes by the name Melissa, which I feel sounds very passé. Anyway I've kept the name Melis with me since then and my friends usually know me by this name unless they'r some hi-bye friends or aquaintances (that I never wish to see again?).

M I glad that my friend then did not decide to call me Mel! I hate that name. I just feel it doesn't suit me and I hate to be called that, though it's probably the most common abbreviation for Melissa. That's how i differentiate myself from fellow friend(s) with the same name.

I had this physics tutor that pronounced my name as Mi-Li-Sah or Mel-Li-Sah on certain days. She just couldn't pronounce my name! It's kinda dumb cos it's way toooo off! Haven't she heard of this name in her entire life? She was the same tutor who told me and my friend very seriously in class that we shouldn't be dating at this age cause it will affect our grades adversely. And all because the two of us were chitchatting throughout the whole lesson! DUH! On another occasion where both of us were coincidentally absent from school, she thought we went on a date, thank to the rubbish that the class made up...And she told the class she's gonna inform our parents. Haha she was probably joking about this but she's this kinda blur and gullible teacher who'll take your words for everything. But she makes a fun tutor lah... lol

Anyway back to Melissa, I would like people out there to know it's correct pronunciation. It's pronounced as Mer-Li-Ser.... But I was called Mah-Li-Ser or Mer-Li-Sah on various occasions and worse Mah-Li-Sah!!! Wah lao! I really can't stand it! These people just can't pronounce my name! It's not like it's so tongue twisting like Cercania or what... So if u've been pronouncing my name in all the wrong ways, I probably did not correct u for fear of malu-ating u.... Now u know! Keke Get it right the next time!
