Report - My Life

Yes I haven been blogging.... I've been complained abt that. So here I am blogging from my office haha. I've mentioned I hate to read blogs on people's boring mundane life, but I've decided to post one, to explain for my MIA. Before that, you'll probably catch me on Project Superstar on Channel U tonight for barely a second. And due to unforseen circumstances, I can't go for the Superstar's quarter finals recording at Mediacorp today!! I wanna go badly! I wanna support Jiaxin! So i told her she better make it for the semi-finals so that I can see her again haha. I felt Mediacorp is pretty dumb to schedule the recording and the broadcast of an episode on the same day, fans or friends would definitely go for the recording and this would cause a dip in viewership right? Oh but since there's no competition now, viewership doesn't matter I guess.

So I've started work. No lah not a perm job but a temp one. I'm actually standing in for my aunt who needs to go for a surgery, for a month. My aunt's a senior secretary so basically I'm taking over her duties. My lil cousin (her son), joked "Wah you so fast promote to senior secretary ah" Haha. I'm working in a very established and big organization but which uses faulty staples, scissors, back dated computers and cheapskate pens like those yellow colour 'Fine' pens (U get the idea? It's just those v lok kok ones... that comes in bundles in a box). Yes this is madness, they started using computers only this Feb after my bro feedback to my boss that it's (really) time to change... previously everything was writtened down in those huge and long accounts-like book where they have the printed horizontal blue lines and you have to draw the vertical ones to divide them into columns.

Oh yah did I mention that my bro works in the same company as me (or rather the other way round). We sit back to back, divided by a wall with an opened connection-room door. We're in the corporate affairs department at the branch office. Luckily I'm not stationed at the HQ, otherwise I'll have to wear court shoes, and will be CAUGHT my a mean Exec Director who goes round spotting and scolding people who doesn't wear one. Yah basically it's a very traditional company cos it's a family business and things are pretty disorganized. But hey they are such an established and rich company, they have many properties under them and even established themselves overseas. I can't reveal their many properties and which organization I'm working for exactly here on my blog though I've told my friends in private. And yah life's tiring, with work in the day and rehearsals at night and on weekends. Plus having to plan for my graduation trip to Taiwan. To my Taiwan trip kakis: I've gotta be honest here guys, I haven done abit of research on it. And worse I'm having rehearsals every night for next week. Well but I'm bearing it all because of the good pay here. They are an old fashioned organization but they pay very good money. What I'm earning now is close to prolly what I'll get when I start out on my perm job. I had wanted to give up hopes on looking for a job after several futile attempts and cheated interviews(Refer to post on Cheater Bugs) and after sending more than half a hundred resumes, then came this job opportunity. You know, it's all for the money.

Actually I was doing those very-temp temp jobs before this haha, which was offering very good pay at like 15-20 bucks per hour. They were all for like a couple of hours for a few days. But earned good money in return. And while holding this temp job right now, I did a translation job for 2 legal documents, for my cousin's Swiss boss over the weekend and I was again paid good money in US$. My cousin told the boss that I stayed up til 6am in the morning(which I really did of cos!) to complete it and the boss immediately doubled my pay on the assignment. Haha.

So in a nutshell I'm like "rehearsing" for my working life, getting used to things before I actually drown myself in it when I start my perm job.

I actually have some interesting topics and pix for blogging but I'm just plain lazy. Lazy to upload from my phone and lazy to go online, that's y you don't see me online now. And this computer I'm using right now has the MSN locked by the network administrator, so I can't go on MSN! And when I get home, I'll be lazy again cos I know if I were to go online I'll chat like there's no tomorrow and be deprived of sleep, which is a big no no. I don't want my already very dark eye rings to get any darker.

*I've bought the tix to my performance for you guys, will arrange for you all to collect and pay ok :p*

=Stay tuned k!=

Silence is perfect for the night
All alone you hide
From the lights shone too bright

This very moment you own
Don't waste away a night so beautiful
