Gotcha!!

I felt strongly that I need to blog on this. Haha I feel very proud of myself.

If you have been reading my blog religiously, you'll probably know I met a flasher twice sometime back last year.
For encounter #1 click here, dated 09 May.
For encounter #2 click here, dated 16 Nov.

Ok so, the inspectors have been following this case because probably there were many reported cases. Guess what, I received a call today morning from the Ang Mo Kio Police HQ, asking me to identify the photos of some suspects. So I went down and picked one outta the 9 photos. Ok it was more of gut feeling and e closest resemblence that I felt. haha that wasn't being truely fair but I felt I pointed at the right man. I might need to go back for physical identification (as in identify the suspects face to face, of cos through the glass window) if required. Ok so I was at the HQ and felt pretty prestigous k, cos I'm the only visitor who had access to the floors with security survillence. Haha and as usual, there r cute guys! haha I just wonder why... are most policeman good looking? haha If you had read ecounter #1, the 2 cops who took my statement are good looking too. Anyways the guys on duty at the entrance post were erm really quite cute in uniform... one even had a eurasian look. Then the other officers on the upper levels in plain clothes were ermz pretty good looking too. Haha ok I know, I'm there to identify the suspect not to beo yandaos. But it's kinda hard not to right... haha. I suddenly felt that it was a good environment to work in. Not because of the yandaos lah! But I quite like the feeling of analyzing cases, suspects and it makes me pretty excited. Which is why I wanted to work for the forensic department or do forensic science, I feel I'm contributing more like this.

Anyways, to sum up, the in-charge called me in the evening to say that the suspect has basically admitted. Tah-dah, so I'm right! But I was also told he's "abit sick up there" (quoted), meaning he's mentally unsound. So they are sending him to the IMH (aka Woodbridge lah) to get his medical report. I suspected so, after all he looks like he's only 16 or 18?.... But I'm just glad he got caught. I made a report, went to identify the suspect and I'm proud of it. Cos I know many people would just be intimidated and keep quiet, maybe they'll tell people about it and warn them but so what? If you don't make yourself heard and make any police report, you won't be able to nab the fellow and only more victims will suffer. Even though the police weren't very efficient... I mean the 2 times I met the flasher was in May and Nov last year, and they took only now to nab the suspect. Besides they had no record for my 1st report, misplaced or lost or what I dunno, irresponsible you can say. But at the end of the day, they nabbed the fellow and that's what matters :D

All alone you hide
From the lights shone too bright

Don't waste away a night so beautiful
