Boring Blog!!

I think I'm falling ill... First I have to apologise to every one whom I asked regarding Superstar Finals tix. Jiaxin is sorry that she couldn't get the promised number of tix. Her mediacorp nanny didn't tell her there was a limit initially but now after some meeting, they decided to block the tix and restrict to only 1800 to all 24 contestants. Which means only immediate frens and family can get the tix, cos we had to provide our IC number. Sorry guys... But I heard from Sl that Weilian's supporters had already gotten their tix and people who do not know him personally but who knows people around him got tix from him too. I guess he has more since he's one of the finalist. And heard there's this silly dress code that people who support Kelly must wear red, while others who support WeiLian must wear blue. How? I don't support any of them. Wear Black? White? Don't wear?

Was supposed to go Zouk last nite, it's closing soon and I haven gone clubbing for a long time... But my gf had to attend a birthday KTV session. Another gf asked me earlier so I told her to confirm with me if she's going. She did, only ard 10pm which was a bad timing to me. A lil too late and I had just reached home from a day of shopping. I ddn't want to go out again. I know Mr. Ng wanted to go badly. I can sense it through msn n the sms-es haha, sorry dude. Anyways I was rather tired, but well the day of shopping probably marks the end of the shopping spree since my Tai Tai counter part found herself a job. Well both of us spent like 200 bucks each, partly cos we'll be earning from some temp job haha. Working clothes cost a bomb but the rest was at a good bargain. Met our dear auditor on the way home, shared with her the cheap deals I got haha. Poor gal, working OT since her second week into work. Nvm, think of the money and the off days u can claim, the only motivation!! And now u ask me, how has job hunting been? Tough luck, but I hope to at least make it to the second round for the most recent interview.

Alrite so I spent my past week packing my room, on and off of cos. Finally managed to restore my room into it's clean and tidy state, but I guess it won't be long before it gets messy again haha. Rearranged some furniture and while clearing, I almost fell to my death. I somehow lost my balance and slammed into my standing full length mirror. It managed to break my fall. But gosh, how dangerous can it get... to fall on a mirror. That's how clumsy I am, that's why I always knock into things. I read through all the letters, notes, birthday and new year and xmas cards. I keep all of them. Some were rather funny, others touching haha. And I realised I have a friend who sends me xmas card every year since the year we've known each other! Wow, I promise to send her one this year, oops but I don't have her address... I feel like writing to my teacher after reading her letter again from some years back. Ha.

Here's some things I found pretty interesting or meaningful amidst all the packing.

The cover looks abit Ah Lao... it's a birthday gift meant for me but doesn't have my pix!!


But I tot it was a rather swee and creative gift cos of the effort put in... nowadays ple don't really hand make things. Yah like u guessed this gift was received ages ago, can see from the photos of the celebrities rite ahaha



Another hand made gift, which I tot, looked very presentable! All the stars were folded by hand and cos the stars were small there had to be many to fill the container up. The wrapper of the container was also cut and pasted on by hand!



Ok this one has a story....From what I remember, this was from my beloved Granddad, who passed away 15 years ago. I was given this coin box (i forgotten what it's called, tong-gong) when I was lil and I've kept it since. It looks quite new yah, and cute of cos.



This key chain, I bought it since I was in primary four I think... or isit Sec 1? Anyway I've decided to have a change, since it's too kiddy for me now... But it has been with me for a long time!



This book is only 5 by 6cm... Haha so tiny, all the women's wisdom gathered inside!



And I finally cleared my bursting wadrobe!! I cleared 3 piles of unwanted/old clothes that I can't/won't wear anymore haha. That's the result of shopping every now and then haha. But some really outta fashion ma. Clothes doesn't have to be ex, jus as long as it looks good and deosn't look cheap.




This isn't anything that I packed lah.... It's actually a moon cake in the shape of a Koala Bear! U guessed it? My bro bot it for me and I have a thing for such cutie food. I can't bear to sink my teeth into them. I would imagine myself biting off its ears and chewing off its head and it's oh so cruel! But I had to eat it, and in a systemic way, cos it's just something different. Oh the flowers are prints on the plate, serves as good decoration haha.

OK request for tix to Superstar Finals is officially closed!!! Pls do not ask me for more tix. I won't entertain any of such smses or msn msg k?? Anyway bad news for you ple, due to overwhelming response, tix request on our side is close to 2k and still increasing. When Mediacorp gets back to us, we'll know the results. But I don't think can get so many cos the stadium can only seat like 8K... so those people who ask for alot pls be prepared to get less tix. And those whose fren's frens request for tix, we will have to limit the tix, cos priority will be given to immediate frens and fmly members. There are even people who direct thier frens to me, got people ask me for alotta tix and say it's for supporting Kelly!! I'm like WTH! Then go get tix from Kelly Poon lah!!!

Superstars _updated

I am here to do a quick post haha somethings to say after watching superstar. I wanted to blog on something else today. I'll update the post after the results show.

First for some ba gua haha. Did anyone of you see Chanel and Sugianto locking arms? lol. They were seated behind Li Fei Hui, so when the camera is on him for his judging, you'll see Chanel & Sugi from an angle. I half suspected they were dating when I saw them leaning near towards each other and chatting all along. Then came one shot when the camera zoomed on Li Fei Hui and both of them were locking arms. Chanel must have realised the camera might have caught them and so unlocked her arm from's Sugi. Haha. No wonder he hasn't been to talking another gal to his left, Dai Ai Ling, but oh her rumoured beau Raymond was beside her haha I'm so ba gua!! And yesterday, Silver and Zi wen were beside each other too and isolated haha.

Back to the show. Kelly looks good. Of cos, as an air stewardess she knows how to dress up and no doubt has alotta money to spend on clothes. I can tell you she's wearing branded stuff. Like Xinhui said, she's spending on budget and it may be offensive but I have to admit Malaysian's dress sense is not that good. Can tell from her choice of clothes. I always thought the clothes were sponsored by the wadrobe and that the crew was biased so they gave all the nice looking clothes to Kelly. But now, I think they purchase on their one. Wow means, the contestants really invest alot into this competition. Time and money. Ok as everyone knows I hate kelly haha even my dad thinks she's fake. Especially her "Xie xie". And I've got to say this again I despise people who vote for Kelly just cos she's pretty (I'm referring to guys of cos!). Yes she can sing, but Xinhui's definitely out performed her these few weeks. Kelly can sing, Xinhui can sing better. I tot the producers were pretty biased. The recording songs for the singles are more suited to JunYang and Kelly's voice range and quality. I like JunYang but I still have to admit this biasness. I'm glad Xinhui did well for the song but truthfully it was a better suited for Kelly. I hope Xinhui wins, she's more sincere I feel, even though I think Kelly's still gonna make it to the Grand Finals. Aiyah nei ding one! hahaha if they let Xinhui win then I will believe it's not fixed! hahahaha



Ok here is the post Superstar results show entry haha. Yes I only got 50% of my prediction rite. But then it's still all abt gimmicks haha. Ok you can say that I'll conclude that everything's a gimmick regardless of who goes to the Grand Finals. But well it just proves that Kelvin has greater publicity value and Kelly, market value. So because they're gonna make Kelly win, Junyang wud be too strong a competitor. Anyways he'll be releasing an album soon, so I guess he can't be bonded by dual contract and that's why he didn't win haha. Kelly's gonna get the contract with Universal Music and Kelvin with Play Music. I dunno la I feel it's pretty obvious but then again you never know. Something I beg to differ from most people's point of view is that I don't think Kelvin has the ability to touch people's heart, at least not mine. I'm not being mean here. But I feel he stresses too much on his singing techniques so he lacks emotions. He uses too much strength and his singing is very old styled, he never uses "zhuan yin" (转音) if you noticed, which is a more modern and R&B style of singing. And he breathes very heavily and deeply, he likes to suck in a deep breath and hold it even before the phrase kicks in. I may be very critical lah I'm no expert but I'm just saying what I've learnt. Junyang has the tendency to imitate whichever singer's song he choose to sing, that's especially obvious while viewing the re-cap video just now. Even for "tong hua" his voice was slightly mimicking Guang Liang's. Kelly's fatal point is really at her rythm. It was bloody obvious with the live band for the last song, "Yi shi De Mei Hao", cos the drum played the accompanying beat right from the start of the song and you can hear she's pretty off beat. Especially when compared to Xinhui's version you can hear the great difference, Xin Hui's always on beat, she is good. Her vocal range is greater and "thicker" but her range is the higher range tt's y her low notes aren't stable.

Eh I sound like a pro hor?? Haha can say cannot sing!! It's easy to criticise, hmm but i'm not reali criticizing la just pointing out ma. I think I can be the next "Shui Shang Piao" or "Sun Gueh". Hahaha Anyways I was telling my fren that wah all the superstar contestants got attached to one another so fast, and they are all like not bad looking and can sing. Haha He told me to join next yr then. I'll consider, If I'm still unattached next year haha. But I guess nothing will happen cos I'll be kicked out before I go on TV!! Haha and I realised a couple of my frens joined Superstar, besides Jiaxin, they came close, top 100, top 50, so wasted. Top 50 is like one step away from appearing on TV!!

@ Carnival

3 movies in one week, I've maintained my record. See, I'm that free and of cos broke, now.

Was at Marina South for the fireworks display by the French team with the humongous Carl's Jr combo. It would definitely taste better if we had taken it while it's hot. What can I say? The French are indeed romantic haha. That's what I feel from the fireworks display. So synchronized with the music and such a flow, like there's a story behind it. Unlike the Singapore displays which shows all big and loud booming fireworks. Creative and colourful. Some pretty low lying fireworks that were blocked by the grass, shrubs, trees and what have you. It's a pity that the display was rather far, I half suspected that we'll get a better view at esplanade. Why can't they just hold the concert and the display near esplanade? It'll be better than the out of the way Marina South. Gotta take mrt to Marina Bay then take a bus which you still have to pay! And guess what, the concert by the bay website states the venue as Marina Bay, Marina South, Marina Padang which was damn confusing!! I did a quick check on net and Marina South turns out to be where Ritz Carlton, Pan Pac and Marina Mandarin are located. Then shouldn't the concert be somewhere around Esplanade? Aiyah so confusing... Ok maybe it's just us. Didn't take pix cos the cam batt went flat... arghh.

Then the concert. Marina South's too vast an area. Though I was pretty put off by the crowd when I made my way there, it's still too vast to be filled. In fact it looks a bit sparse. Don't really like Sweety. One person that I need to mention is Tong En. She's one cool chick, very high haha and of cos her vocal's damn powerful!! Very good live performance. She's indeed very good in performing no wonder all the veteran singers in Taiwan praise her so much. Nnadia was ok, she looked good. Well most of the guys went for eVonne and Landy. You can hear guys screaming when eVonne made her entrance. But she must have had too many Snow.Wolf.Lake performances, her singing was very musical, unlike the commercial way. But haha when Landy made her entrance, you can hear all the guys screaming (much louder than that for eVonne) and rushing into empty spaces near the stage, flashing their powerful cameras zooming in to the fullest. Of cos she did her stuff, with the booky shakin. She's really a hot chick I must admit!! But of cos her vocals are what I'm more impressed with. I've always thought she could sing and very well indeed, that's why I like her. Hot look with nothing to prove is just a turn off, to me at least. I thought she sounded sick when she was singing her first song and indeed she was. Too bad she's suffering from a serious throat infection so her singing wasn't that perfect. You could hear her very hoarse voice when she talks. Poor gal. Then poor Daniel Zhang, who was the last to come on, after Landy, had to bear with the less than sparse crowd. Simply because you can see everyone leaving right after Landy made her exit!!! hahaha If only she could garner the same support for her album sales. Anyway Daniel was sick too and he didn't sing live but I bet he can't do it even if he's not. Unlike Landy who insisted to sing live though her condition was much worse than Daniel. Haha

Yah and there's this stupid guy who kept inching forward whenever we moved. He's standing really close to us man. Though he didn't touch us but it was damn uncomfortable!! Sometimes I wonder why do I always meet such freaks. Of cos if he's some handsome dude I don't mind, but then again handsome dude won't come near me!! Hrmpp!

Oh Jiaxin, if you're reading this, please try to get us tix for Superstar finals k!! hahaha Cya soon!

Untitled

Had wanted to blog on something 2 days ago but didn't have the time to. Now, I've forgotten what I wanted to blog on. School's started so I think people will soon start blogging to get away from the books, after all that was why blog was so in last sem during the exam period. Everyone had a post almost everyday, some even two. But blog's starting to lose its popularity yah? Sometimes I feel obliged to blog haha just because I don't want my blog to hang empty.

Now still jobless, I joked with Shumin we're leading the lives of Paris and Nicky Hilton. Yes both of us are unemployed but go round spending money like we're rolling in big bucks. Going out every other day, shop around when we're free, meeting friends on some days, buying expensive products, going for manicure and visiting the salon. Much like a Tai Tai's life, except the mahjong. Really a 败家女!!! Can't stand myself haha. I've been giving myself excuses that I've been back for exactly two weeks now and it takes alot longer to be able to find a job. Some of my friends have started work, which I'm not interested in like customer service and recruitment consultant. Others are still job hunting after 2 or 3 full months of rotting at home haha. At least I can console myself that I had my performance and overseas trip during this period so I wasn't exactly doing nothing. I just can't find a job that I really like and want. In fact I dunno what I want! Perhaps I just don't wanna work that's all. But I have to lah.... Even if I still think of studying psychology overseas. To those who are still studying please please treasure and enjoy your school days! My friend reminded me that perhaps being the ultimate perfectionist (I was told a dozen times), I know exactly what I want, so I couldn't find a job that fits. Well of course I know he isn't only referring to jobs Haha.

So life's getting pretty boring, with my friends started school or work. I'm really quite free now, so if you also got nothing better to do just drop me a msg ahaha. Anyways Jiaxin has returned to HK. Let's just hope she's able be back on Sept 1st for Superstar finals. Then we'll have a second farewell haha. I don't know if Zhiyong's the culprit cos I remember him holding Shuling's camera at the airport. Almost all the pictures turn out blurred!! Here's a pix of me and the Superstars, my head is damn big!!! And it's damn blur, I hope Shirlin's cam turns out well since we took double for every shot. Candyce looks good in the photo I think she's very photogenic, but personally I feel Meixi is prettier in person, she looks good even without make up and she isn't at all big sized, just tall and slim.

Superstar's results gonna be out soon. My predicition, Kelly & Xin Hui, Kelvin & Junyang.
Then it will be Kelly and Junyang....Actually not prediction lah, can see from the pattern. Gimmicks! After all this is just a show... and I mean really a show....

Oh and I just found out today after meeting Kok Seong that I can still purchase the epass with my ez link card!! Damnit. I've been wasting like hundreds on transport and during the period when I was temping, I took mrt everyday without the pass!! He's been using the pass for 2 months now after graduation....arghhh!! No wonder my ntu friends say their card has now changed to "teh" after tabbing(like normal adult ez link) while mine still sounds "teh teh". Abit weird, the way I describe it but you all should know what I mean lah hor?

New Look New beginning

Wanted a change of blogskin, but couldn't find one that satisfy me. Wanted a more vibrant one with a Lime Green background, it didn't turn out nice, so I gave up the idea. In the end I thought I still prefer my original blog skin (which isn't really a skin actually), so I decided to play around with the colours instead. Did some changes, added some gif and one more side bar to add.

Oh and I suddenly remembered something. I met some friends in Taiwan! One took the same plane with me and then upon reaching the hotel separately, we realised we were lodging in the same hotel. Haha. Then there's another friend whom I have never met on the streets in Singapore, but somehow we bumped into each other at Taipei Main Station one night. How strange!!

A once in a lifetime experience

Was at Mediacorp for a filming experience today. I guess i do not have enough affinity with Mediacorp, when I was first auditioned for a certain role, the project fell through and the serial was never filmed. Later when I was approached for a minor role, it was during the semester so since I had to attend school, I wasn't able to go for filming. Then this time round when they called me up, I was free to film but after 3 hours of waiting, I went off without filming anything. There was some changes in filming schedules, thus I was asked to return on Fri or Sat, but no, I declined. I think I have better things to do, waiting aimlessly is such a waste of time and I did nothing.

My coordinator was a nice young lady, more or less my age. She's helpful enough, as I wasn't sure of what to do, where to go and how to go about doing this and that, I called her up quite a few times to ask for directions. Perhaps she was pretty busy so her answers weren't very clear. I had to find my way and gladly I didn't lose my way in the Mediacorp maize. At least she showed me around and was nice to talk to when she picked me up finally. Actually people in Mediacorp was rather hostile, those working there I mean, from people at the wadrobe to the make up unit. Probably because I'm just a nobody, things would be different if you are a Big Star, you would be qualified to be hostile to people then. Anyway when I first reached the security at the Radio Gate, I was asked by the hostile guard if I'm an extra or part-timer and for which show. I was like "huh, I dunno... hmm extra??" I must be one.... But after flipping through his list, my name wasn't on it, so in the end, I'm actually a part-timer haha. I still don't know the difference then. Made my way to the wadrobe to collect my costume from the hostile in charge and then to the make up unit, where this guy stylist did my hair. While he sprayed almost half a can of hairspray to keep my hair in place, I was thinking, why do all stylist share similar traits with David Gan?? Besides spotting a F4 hairstyle (Gan is bald) and superfinely shaped eyebrows, I see no difference in the way they behave. I suspect he has light make up on too and definitely eye liner! But the make up unit uses good cosmetics, Clinique to be exact. Mediacorp is rich. Although the stylist was rather ok, he didn't talk much, I felt I look like a big toot after the hairdo..... There were a few veteran actors in the make up unit too and I saw the female Superstars. Brushed past 石欣卉(Shi Xin Hui) so I had a closer look at her, damn thick make up, like plastered on. But then again, which artiste doesn't have thick makeup on? That's what makes them look good, or better on screen.

Talked with some unknown actors/actresses at the studio after my coordinator left me, only to realise they are the so called extras. And only then do I know that the difference between part-timers and extras are that the latter are those without lines, acting as some passers-by or unknown figure etc. And to my surprise, none of them have a full time job outside, so basically they are full time extras, who film almost every other day for the thousands of on going shows. So next time, scrutinize the extras when you're watching TV, you'll probably find the same few people in a thousand different serials. Oh and they have agents!! I'm impressed. They are pro extras haha they know the place and rules very well, even brought their own food cos they are familiar with the irregualr filming hours. But it wasn't easy to talk with them cos we are after all of different levels. I'm not trying to be sacarstic here or think that I'm high up there, nor despise anyone. I'm perfectly fine with them. But through a lil talking and the fact that they are satisfied to earn their livelihood through this, proves that we don't belong together. Because I was the only part timer around, I had no one to talk to except one guy from SIM who's also an extra, it's also his first day here but he's here cos it's his hols and he had nothing better to do. Soon one extra started to bitch to me about another extra and I was like.... oh yah yah..... What can I say man??

Another crew at the set was pretty nice and friendly too but I don't know his designation except that he just started work a month ago and had graduated from Mass Communication Studies. As for the other crews, no one bothers about you. Adrian Pang and Pierre Png were rather friendly, at least they bother to smile at me when they walk past. But watching them act was rather entertaining. During rehearsal for their scene, you can see Adrian trying very hard to contain his laughter everytime Pierre speaks, and Pierre would be influenced too. Haha rather funny. 李司琪(lest you dunno, she's善姨from真情, a kindred spirit)was super nice too. As she was leaving, I smiled at at her, she smiled back and replied 先走了 Bye bye. An extra then asked me how come she only said goodbye to you and not us? Haha when I told my cousin later about this incident, his reply was "Tell them 'Because I'm a part-timer, while you are only an extra' ". Haha like I'm some big shot!!

Well, all in all it was not a bad experience, though the studio was freaking cold. I get to see the filming and all, but I guess I won't return again to shoot such roles. Which is why when the guy said that it's easy money, I didn't act yet was paid, i told him it's really a waste of my time, I think I can do more constructive things. That was why I declined. I wished I had the courage to tell my coordinator "Look me up only if you have bigger roles" when she said she will contact me again for other roles. Haha ya I know I am yaya! I'm no big shot yet wanna behave like that. There are many people who harbor dreams about being a star and don't have any chances, yet I'm giving up chances. But I never believe you can be spotted by being an extra or part-timer. I mean Mediacorp has countless extras and part-timer, do you see anyone of them being talent spotted?? Yes you start out with small roles, but from being an extra or part-timer? My foot! Anyway I'm a greedy person, I won't be satisfied with this hahaha

One cute guy I spotted, I mean he is cute but not very good looking and he doesn't look good at all here. Well must make do with secret shots. And he's very helpful too though abit shy... Think he's below 20. I spotted another very good looking guy (the best I've come across in Taiwan), he was buying some food while we were looking at some Mos Burger stuff. Exchanged a glance and we went our separate ways... No pix... But the type I like haha ABC look...



Fake Summer Scent!! You would only know if you'd watched the korean serial. Well I must say Vin is a convincing actor! Es needs to brush up on her acting skills haha and pls put the bags aside. But the background's very suitable!



Smelly Wee fart.... But not convincing enough, though they acted well haha, posed for very long. But the sulphur at Yang Ming Shan does smell bad when the wind blows, like those hard boil eggs left uneaten for one afternoon.



They claimed this is a very scary pix.... All the guys in the pic and yah a female ghost popping up from behind. Only the head. Definitely a happy ghost, and one who likes to attract attention (抢镜）Haha!!

Nothing to see at all, a few old canons and then all that was left was a very long stretch of steps that led all the way from the top to the bottom of the mountain. Well because me, Es and Vin took a different cab from JQ, YY and Wee, we were dropped at different entrances to the fort and while the 3 of us missed the route to 18 Arhat Cave from the top of the mountain, the other 3 guys who were dropped at the bottom climbed up and reached the cave, only to see this....


No kidding it was really a long climb man! It was worse for them cos they had to climp UP, while the 3 of us had to go down. And it wasn't easy cos of the very steep and slippery steps, full of mosses!! Which is no wonder why the 3 of us had these disgusted faces to show....

I think Vin is really gifted in acting man! haha
Really lousy man, walk untill we wanna puke!! Pls remember the place and never visit it!! What a waste of time!!
